Investor Buys Denver-Area Commercial Contractor

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Apogee Equity Partners announces the successful sale of its client, ATEK Heating and Air Conditioning Inc., a design-build mechanical and HVAC contractor based in Denver, Colorado.
The company was acquired by an undisclosed private investor. The transaction was facilitated by Jason Hoff, a mergers and acquisitions advisor at Apogee.
Founded in 1996 by David H. Alquist and James Hartle, ATEK has grown into one of the region’s most trusted providers of comprehensive mechanical and HVAC services for commercial and industrial projects in Denver and the Front Range region, a press release from Apogee said. The company is known for its technical expertise, dedicated team, and consistent, high-quality project delivery, the press release said.
Both Alquist and Hartle will continue to serve in leadership roles at ATEK.
“Jason brought several strong buyers to the table, and his diligence helped ensure we found the right partner for the future of ATEK,” said Alquist, president of ATEK. “His guidance throughout the process was invaluable. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, and I’m confident ATEK is in good hands under its new ownership.”
Reflecting on the transaction, Jason Hoff added, “It was a privilege to represent ATEK in this important milestone. The founders built an outstanding business, and we’re proud to have helped them achieve a successful outcome. We look forward to seeing their legacy continue.”
