AI Firm Wins Commercial Buildings Association Award

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Canada — EcoPilot Canada, which provides artificial intelligence (AI) that optimizes HVAC systems and reduces energy consumption in commercial buildings, won a 2025 Pinnacle Award for Innovation during the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) Nova Scotia awards ceremony.
The Pinnacle Award celebrates excellence and groundbreaking achievement in the Canadian commercial real estate industry, a press release from EcoPilot said. EcoPilot’s success now propels the company to the BOMA Canada National Awards Program, scheduled to take place in Halifax during the BOMEX 2025 conference in September.
The award was accepted by Tobias Janes, director of technical solutions at EcoPilot Canada | USA, and Jennie King, general manager of EcoPilot Canada, during the April 22 ceremony.
The annual BOMA Awards recognize excellence in Canadian commercial real estate, honoring achievements in sustainability, innovation, management, and leadership. Key categories include: the TOBY Awards, the BOMA BEST Awards, the Pinnacle Awards, the Emerging Leaders Award, and the Accessibility Challenge Award.
“This recognition by BOMA Nova Scotia is a testament to our team's dedication to sustainable innovation and intelligent building solutions,” said King. “We are excited to represent Nova Scotia on the national stage at BOMEX and share our vision for a more energy-efficient future.”
The 2025 BOMA Canada National Awards Gala will take place on September 17 during the BOMEX conference in Halifax, where national winners will be honored.
