CLEVELAND — HVAC manufacturer Arzel Zoning Technology Inc. is planning to increase prices beginning Thursday, May 1.
In a message sent to customers on Friday, Arzel vice president of technical and sales Ken Barton said the company has experienced “substantial increases” in the price of materials.
“Tariffs and evolving market conditions have significantly impacted the cost of key raw materials — including electronic components, aluminum, and steel — which are critical to the manufacturing of our products,” Barton wrote. The company has made “every effort” to absorb the rising costs, he added.
Products that will be most affected by the increases, Barton said, include damper sleeves and barometric dampers. Small increases are planned for tubing, dampers, AirBoss and HeatPump Pro panels, and transformers, he said.
Barton also urged installers of its equipment to place orders for planned projects before May 1. After that, he said, local distributors will have updated pricing.
