Description: The Full Airflow Zone System Control Board is now available to professional HVACR contractors, home builders, and residential building performance contractors. This zone control was designed to meet the requirements in ACCA’s Manual LLH HVAC Systems Design for Low Load Homes Section 14 “Capacity Deployment System.” The controller allows contractors to install traditional HVAC equipment in homes that have over 1500 ft2 per ton. FAZS control boards are the only controls on the market specifically designed to provide all of the airflow to go to one zone at a time. The zones receive the air based on a priority system.  For circulation in applications that have an outside air source it recommended that the individual zone dampers have a manual stop so 5%-10% of the designed airflow can enter the zones whenever the system is on. There is a maximum of three zones per HVAC unit, each zone has to be 25% of the load or larger, and the duct system must be designed to handle the HVAC systems full airflow.
