American Residential Services (Memphis, Tenn.) acquired Tarpy Plumbing, Heating & Air (San Diego).

Johnson Controls (Cork, Ireland) acquired M&M Carnot (Annapolis, Maryland, and Trois Rivières, Quebec, Canada).

AirReps (Bellevue, Wash.) acquired Integrated Systems and Controls (Renton, Wash.) and InControl (Renton, Wash.).

Slate Capital Group (Baltimore) acquired Vertical Mechanical Group (Sterling, Va.).

 

RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTORS

Air Pros USA (Davie, Fla.) was named one of South Florida’s fastest-growing companies by The South Florida Business Journal.

 

MANUFACTURERS

The air conditioning technologies division of LG (Alpharetta, Ga.) named Sean Foster its director of channel sales.

Donald Kenney, a vice president at Franklin Electric (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and president of its Global Water division, will retire. He will serve through the end of July to assist successor Greg Levine, who will take charge of Global Water.

Energy Recovery (San Leandro, Calif.) won the Refrigeration Innovation of the Year Award during the Atmosphere America Summit.

Mulcahy Co. (Eagan, Minn.) was named one of the Top 200 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
