NEWARK, Del. — Strikepoint Group Holdings (SGH), a home services company, announced it has recently acquired Phillips Air Care’s North Charlotte location. The North Charlotte location will do business under SGH’s flagship Horizon Services brand, a heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical services company with more than 30 years of HVAC expertise. SGH recently launched Horizon Services in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Founded by United States Marine Corps veteran Jay Phillips and his wife Jessica, Phillips Air Care has served as a provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services to the North Charlotte area for more than eight years. Since inception, the company has grown and opened additional locations in both Wilmington and Bald Head Island, North Carolina.

“Jessica and I could not have built what we did without our loyal employees,” said Phillips. “We care deeply for them, which is why we chose Strikepoint as the buyer for our North Charlotte business. We know Strikepoint invests heavily in employee training and growth, which will provide our employees with access to new and exciting career opportunities.”

The Phillips will continue to own and operate the Wilmington and Bald Head Island locations of their business, while SGH will partner with the local management team in North Charlotte.

“We are humbled that Jay and Jessica chose us to carry on their legacy in Charlotte,” added Charlie Haines, CEO of SGH. “They built an incredible business with an outstanding culture and we’re excited to invest in them and continue to help this location grow and thrive.”

Horizon Services' technicians carry out same-day services and next day installations to ensure that customers’ homes remain comfortable year-round. In North Carolina, the company serves Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Wake Forest, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, and surrounding communities.

The addition of Phillip’s into SGH’s portfolio of home services brands stretching from New England to Florida, marks its foray into the Charlotte area and is the 20th deal in the last 21 months for the company, formerly known as Horizon Group Holdings.
