ACCA Publishes Legislative Priorities for 117th Congress
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced the publication of their legislative priorities for the 117th Congress.
The issues outlined in ACCA’s legislative priority report have been presented to the 117th Congress and Biden Administration, and were determined based on the direct input of ACCA members and approved by ACCA’s Membership Committee. The number one issue affecting the HVACR contracting industry is workforce. Other issues concerning to ACCA members included energy efficiency tax incentives, the transition from HFCs to mildly flammable A2L refrigerants, COVID-19 liability protection, and state licensing reform.
“We appreciate the input that ACCA members provided in regard to these priorities,” said Chris Czarnecki, government relations representative and coalitions manager. “Their involvement truly helps us best represent the interests of HVAC-R contractors on Capitol Hill and before the administration. These priorities are a direct reflection of the issues affecting ACCA members on a day-to-day basis. They will serve as an accurate frame of reference for ACCA’s advocacy team, Congress, and the Biden Administration as we work towards our goals.”
