ROME, N.Y. — The Whalen Company announced the completion of the new Cold Point manufacturing facility in Rome, New York. The Whalen Company purchased Cold Point Corporation in June of 2017.

"With the expansion of the new facility, we will be able to increase our manufacturing capabilities and provide customers with more aftermarket options," said Steve Schreppel, general manager/director of engineering at Cold Point.

“We are excited to see the new facility come online and begin to produce units,” said Tony Landers, vice president of sales and marketing at The Whalen Company. “Having Cold Point as our official aftermarket manufacturer frees up manufacturing capacity in our Easton, Maryland, facility and provides multiple manufacturing locations to better meet the needs of our customers when demand surges.”

"Our new state of the art facility will increase efficiency, quality of our products, and reduce lead time,” said Sam Vivirito, aftermarket sales manager at Cold Point. “We are all looking forward to this new chapter for Cold Point.”

Construction on the 50,000 sq. ft. building was finalized on March 22. The new facility will have an additional 33,000 square feet and two additional lines compared to the previous facility. In addition to the manufacturing lines, the facility will house the aftermarket engineering department, office space, customer training facility, and a new warehouse area.
