Aprilaire Dehumidifiers to Be Certified Energy Star Most Efficient for 2020
The whole-home 130PPD dehumidifiers receive certification
MADISON, Wis. — Aprilaire’s 130PPD dehumidifiers are being certified as Energy Star Most Efficient 2020.
In December 2019, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the final criteria for whole-home dehumidifiers to meet the Energy Star Most Efficient 2020 designation, which requires a higher energy performance above the standard Energy Star rating.
“Our product team has been hard at work to improve the energy efficiency of our dehumidifiers,” said Damian Mannino, product marketing manager at Aprilaire. “This is a huge step forward as we are able to meet this improved, yet more stringent energy efficiency requirement while still offering the high performance criteria our contractors and homeowners demand.”
