FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The United Service Organization (USO) of Indiana recently received a donation of $27,000 from WaterFurnace International Inc. Carl Huber, WaterFurnace vice president of corporate quality, and John Thomas, WaterFurnace president and CEO, presented the check during a news conference at the company’s corporate headquarters in Fort Wayne. Members of the 122nd Air National Guard, WaterFurnace employees, and dignitaries from the USO were also in attendance.

"We're thrilled to once again lend our support to the USO,” said John Thomas, president and CEO, WaterFurnace. “When we think about the men and women that are defending liberty and freedom around the globe as well as here in Indiana, there’s no better cause than to support them and their families.”

WaterFurnace raised the proceeds during its 31st Annual Supplier Golf Outing, held at Brookwood Golf Club, Fort Wayne. In addition to fundraising activities on the course, the outing also included a silent auction for a variety of items. According to the USO, the donation will help provide programs and resources to military personnel throughout the state of Indiana. Since 2008, WaterFurnace has raised over $340,000 for the USO of Indiana.
