Tarrant County College, LG Air Conditioning Technologies Open New VRF Lab
Courses to begin in January 2020
FORT WORTH, Texas — Tarrant County College (TCC) and LG Air Conditioning Technologies officials hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil a new Variable Refrigerant Technology (VRF) lab to educate HVAC contracting students on the benefits of this innovative and growing technology. Students will use the lab to learn about duct-free mini splits and large-scale VRF systems that can provide energy efficiency in residential and commercial environments.
The new VFR lab at TCC South will feature the latest in LG equipment including:
- LG Multi™ V S Single- phase Heat Recovery System (5-ton system named “Green Innovation of the Year” by Green Builder)
- LG Multi™ V (IV) – VRF Heat Pump System
- LG Multi™ V (V) VRF Heat Recovery System
The HVACR Department at TCC South will begin offering VRF and DFS (Duct-Free Split system) courses starting in January 2020. On average, approximately 75 students enroll in the comprehensive HVAC program each semester.
