ROCHESTER, N.Y. — R.P. Fedder Industrial, LLC of Rochester, N.Y. has been named to the 2019 Rochester Chamber Top 100 list of fastest-growing, privately owned companies in the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. The company is a manufacturer of air-filtration products sold to original equipment manufacturers, as well as a distribution business reselling filtration and HVAC equipment and consumables. Additionally, R.P. Fedder designs and builds clean rooms for use in high-tech manufacturing and health care environments.
“We’re honored to be named one of Rochester’s fastest-growing companies, no small feat for a 60-year old company in a mature industry,” said Christopher Fox, who purchased R.P. Fedder and became president in August.
“From humble beginnings in a garage, R.P. Fedder has grown to represent some of the world’s leading filtration product companies, offering the most advanced technology available in the industry,” said Joe Pennise, vice president, R.P. Fedder. “We are now the provider for virtually every large manufacturing company, healthcare system, university, and engineering firm in Central and Western New York.”
“I look forward to building on the success and knowledge-base of the past 60 years,” added Fox. “We have a solid foundation as we look to address customers’ needs for products that enhance the entire ecosystem of which they are a part.”
R.P. Fedder plans to provide increasing value by leveraging recent material advancements to reduce customers’ total cost of ownership.
“Customers want filters that are more robust and will have a longer life in the harshest of environments, but they also have sustainability in mind and want products that can create real energy savings,” added Fox.
“The Rochester and Finger Lakes region has a well-earned reputation of innovation spurred by a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” said Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy. “The Rochester Chamber Top 100 companies have demonstrated sustained success in fueling our region’s economic engine, creating jobs, and serving as business ambassadors.”
