EAST WINDSOR, Conn. — As part of its partnership with Lincoln Tech to build the technical workforce of the future, Johnson Controls recently unveiled four new classrooms, including at the vocational school’s Connecticut campuses in East Windsor, New Britain, and Shelton, and at the Columbia, Maryland, campus. The new classrooms are equipped with Johnson Controls technologies to train students in the HVAC, electrical, fire, and security programs.

The partnership between Johnson Controls and Lincoln Tech began in 2018 with a goal of bridging the technical skills gap and developing a program that provides hands-on training in local markets to empower students with the skills necessary to enter the technical workforce and build a fulfilling career in today’s changing marketplace. Graduates of the training programs have the opportunity to pursue careers with Johnson Controls to help deliver smart, safe, sustainable buildings and cities around the world.

In total, Johnson Controls is sponsoring 10 Lincoln Tech campuses across the country. In 2018, the Indianapolis, Indiana, and Melrose Park, Illinois classrooms were launched and, in the remainder of 2019, the Marietta, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; and Mahwah and Union, New Jersey campuses will be revealed.
