ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced Del-Air Mechanical of Knoxville, Tennessee, as the ACCA 2019 Commercial Contractor of the Year.

Each year, ACCA’s Contractor of the Year award is presented to a contracting company that demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to contractor excellence. Finalists are judged on a range of qualities including community involvement, industry involvement, and a commitment to training and certifications. A panel of ACCA past chairmen judges the finalists and selects the ACCA Contractor of the Year winner. The 2019 judges were Larry Taylor of Taylor Coaching, Tony Shaker of Enfinity Partners, LLC, Richard Dean of Environmental Services Associates, Inc., Greg Leisgang of JonLe Heating-Cooling, and Stan Johnson.

"ACCA is excited to present the Commercial Contractor of the Year award to Tony Yanniello of Del-Air Mechanical,” said Barton James, president and CEO of ACCA. “Del-Air Mechanical has served their community for nearly 40 years and been very involved with ACCA for much of that time. Tony is a member of ACCA’s commercial advisory task force and also a member of one of ACCA’s longest standing MIX Groups, The Big Picture. ACCA congratulates Del-Air for this great award and thanks them for their commitment to ACCA.”

Tony Yanniello, Del-Air Mechanical director of operations, will receive the Commercial Contractor of the Year award at the 2019 ACCA Annual Conference and Expo, March 4-6 in San Antonio.

“I am thankful for our entire crew at Del-Air for helping make this possible,” Yanniello said. “We’re proud to be recognized by our national trade association for this award and look forward to staying involved with ACCA so we can contribute to the success of our fellow association members. I would like to give a special thank you to our MIX Group, The Big Picture, for the support and guidance they have provided Del-Air, which has helped ensure that I can lead our team to success.”
