Company: Trane, a brand of Ingersoll Rand

Product: S-Series Furnaces

Description: Named the S8X1 and S8X2, this 80 percent furnace family has a small footprint, four poises, and increased flexibility in pairing with other systems. At 34 inches tall, these units are designed for locations where space is a premium while still providing warmth to keep smaller living quarters, like condos and multifamily homes, cozy during the colder months. The product eliminates the need for installers to select different furnace models to meet positioning needs, and both will rate with one-stage and two-stage outdoor systems, increasing the system options that can be provided to homeowners. The S8X1 offers a 26,000 Btuh option, and the S8X2 offers a 40,000 Btuh option, which can fire at 26,000 Btuh when the loads are light and move to a higher firing rate when it gets colder. All of Trane’s S-Series furnaces meet the U.S Department of Energy’s requirements for Fan Energy Ratings that goes into effect July 3, 2019.
