Friedrich Air Conditioning (San Antonio) won the Gold Award for its Variable Refrigerant Packaged (VRP) heat pump system as one of the best new products of 2018 from Consulting-Specifying Engineer in the HVAC: Air Movement and Compressors category.

Regal Beloit Corp. (Beloit, Wisconsin) announced that its NovaMAX EC Permanent Magnet Motor was recognized by Consulting-Specifying Engineer in its 2018 Product of the Year program within the Drives, Pumps, and Motors category.

Venstar Inc. (Chatsworth, California) announced its ColorTouch®, Explorer®, and Explorer Mini® programmable Wi-Fi thermostats are now compatible with Google Assistant.

Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) reported average sales for its distributor members increased by 15.4 percent in July 2018 in its monthly TRENDS report.
