SUWANEE, Ga. — Mitsubishi Electric U.S., Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), a manufacturer of Zoned Comfort Solutions™ and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) cooling and heating systems, has promoted Mark Kuntz to senior vice president and deputy general manager.

Based out of the Cooling & Heating Division's U.S. headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia, Kuntz continues to oversee development, sales, marketing, supply chain, quality assurance and administration. He is tasked with refining overall business strategy and planning growth initiatives for development, manufacturing and sales. Kuntz joined Mitsubishi Electric in May 2010, managing strategic accounts and utilities. He has held numerous senior executive positions in marketing, product development and engineering, and most recently held the position of senior vice president since March 2014.

"Mark is a strong liaison between our U.S. Cooling & Heating Division and our headquarters in Japan. Kuntz has more than 30 years of experience in the utility and HVAC industries, having served as vice president and general manager of Exelon (Unicom) Distributed Energy, Chicago; director of national accounts for Lennox Industries, Dallas; vice president of marketing and business development at RWE Innogy, Swindon, U.K.; and vice president of marketing at Capstone Turbine Corp., Chatsworth, California. He is a professional engineer licensed by the state of California and a LEED® Accredited Professional.

Kuntz holds a master's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California.
