ALPHARETTA, Ga. — LG Electronics USA has named industry veteran Kevin McNamara senior vice president, sales and operations, for LG’s U.S. Air Conditioning Systems business. In addition, Darren Gibula has been promoted to senior director of operations.

McNamara, who leads all aspects of the global giant’s commercial, residential and applied air conditioning business in the United States, joined LG Electronics USA in 2011 as vice president of commercial air conditioning. He brings more than three decades of industry experience to the company. He previously held key management, sales and service roles for Carrier Corp., York, Trane, Honeywell and McQuay.

“McNamara’s leadership has been instrumental in the growth of LG’s award-winning residential and commercial air conditioning systems in the U.S. over the past four years,” said William Cho, president and CEO, LG Electronics USA. “His new position reflects both the critical role he plays at LG and the contributions he makes to the industry as a whole.”

Gibula joined LG Electronics USA in 2011 as director of operations for LG Air Conditioning Systems. He oversees LG’s technical and training teams, inventory management and customer support functions. Gibula previously led Carrier Corporation’s supply chain and distribution department and has extensive experience in operations management, supply chain management and customer service.

LG’s industry-leading variable refrigerant flow technology and home comfort solutions are making major inroads in the United States, where demand for high-performance, flexible HVAC technology continues to grow. LG’s air conditioning systems are designed to minimize efficiency losses found in conventional HVAC systems, provide sustainable energy savings and offer the lowest lifecycle cost of any system on the market today.

Under McNamara’s leadership, LG has delivered significant benefits to U.S. commercial office buildings, schools, hotels and residential spaces nationwide, Cho said.
