SUWANEE, Ga.— Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), a manufacturer of ductless cooling and heating systems, has opened a distribution center in the division’s West Business Unit (BU). The center, located in Mira Loma, Calif. (about 50 miles east of Los Angeles), will support the company’s tremendous growth and meet the increasing product demands of its western distributors. The division’s headquarters in Suwanee, Ga. will continue to operate as the primary distribution center and warehouse for U.S. operations.

The new distribution center, occupying part of a 180,000-square-foot facility, began operation on April 6, 2015. It offers access to M- and P-Series products and accessories to a number of distributors.

The new facility is located just three hours north of PIMS, S.A. de C.V., the division’s factory in Mexico, which produces a number of M-Series models. It is located in close proximity to three major ports: Long Beach, Los Angeles and San Diego, which will shorten delivery time of system components from Asia, and increase customer satisfaction.

“Our network of distributor partners is fundamental to the success of Mitsubishi Electric, and it’s our job to make sure they have unhindered access to the equipment supply,” says Mark Kuntz, senior vice president, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division. “The opening of this distribution center comes at a time of both rapid growth and demand for our products. This center allows us to bring our products closer to key distributors in the western part of the United States.”

As product demand continues to grow, Mitsubishi Electric will expand and occupy more of the facility. The opening of the distribution center is one of several major initiatives Mitsubishi Electric is undertaking to support the continuous growth of the division and exceed the expectations of its extensive network of dedicated distributors.
