Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc.’s Cooling & Heating Division announced the expansion of its Performance Builder Program.

Developed to help builders meet the energy efficiency demands of the modern homebuyer, the program provides guidance for those who need high-performance cooling and heating systems for new construction, renovation, hot spot/cold spot situations, multi-family units, or custom homes. Each Mitsubishi Electric business unit includes a Performance Construction Team dedicated to supporting the Performance Builder Program. The experienced team is on top of, and thinking ahead of, industry best practices, trends and advancements in order to provide industry leading, innovative and effective performance building solutions for U.S. homebuilders, remodelers, and multifamily developers.

“Today’s homeowners have high standards for construction – they are more educated and more discriminating than ever before,” said Mike Smith, senior manager of residential marketing, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc.’s Cooling & Heating Division. “By staying on top of industry trends and needs, the Performance Builder Program works with customers to ‘build better.’ That means building more efficiently and proactively for better home comfort, health and performance.”

According to Smith, as society has prioritized energy efficiency in buildings, the focus has shifted to HVAC products. Consumers want energy-saving, smart products that can be monitored and controlled from afar. Mitsubishi Electric’s  Zoned Comfort Solutions system offers homeowners the ability to individually control up to eight distinct zones (per outdoor unit) within a home through advanced, connected controls.

The Performance Construction Team works with builders and remodelers across the country to educate and share cooling and heating best practices, such as zoning, so that any home, at any price point, can achieve high-performance status.
