Daikin America, Inc., a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., has announced that its low global-warming potential (GWP) will go by the Creard brand name. The Creard brand will be used for refrigerants, blowing agents, solvents, and propellants.

Daikin's R-407H will be the first product to use the Creard brand. Creard R-407H is Daikin's new high-efficiency, low GWP refrigerant for use in new and retrofit refrigeration systems.

Daikin Creard R-407H has been listed by the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program for use in retail food refrigeration for remote condenser applications such as convenience stores, bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, and other systems operating between 0.3 and 5.7 cooling tons and rejecting heat outside of the evaporating environment.
