New England Fuel Institute Announces New President and CEO
The New England Fuel Institute announced that Sean Cota has been named as its new president & CEO effective December 8, 2017.
Cota brings an extensive industry background. From his teenage years until his retirement as president in 2011, he worked for his family's full-service heating oil and propane business, Cota & Cota, Inc. Sean was a third-generation business-owner.
Since 1990, he has been actively involved in trade associations at the local, state, and national levels. Sean has held the chairmanship or other top leadership post at the New England Fuel Institute (NEFI), the Petroleum Marketers Association of America (PMAA), the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA), the Vermont Fuel Dealers' Association (VFDA), and the Commodity Markets Oversight Coalition (CMOC), among others.
Sean has participated in countless meetings at state houses and on Capitol Hill over the years. He testified more than a dozen times before Congress and regulatory agencies and has been interviewed by the local, state, and national news media on a wide range of topics.
