DOE Delays Effective Date for Two Test Procedure Final Rules
On March 21, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued Federal Register notices announcing further delays in the effective date of the final rules on test procedures for walk-in coolers and freezers and for residential central air conditioners and heat pumps. The new effective date for the walk-in coolers and freezers test procedure is now June 26 while the new effective date for the residential central air conditioners and heat pumps test procedure is July 3. These delays will provide DOE officials more time to review and consider these new regulations.
