ST. LOUIS — With a $2 million building renovation, Unico Inc. has added 15,000 square feet of offices and a 4,000-square-foot testing lab to its headquarters in St. Louis. Unico manufactures its small-duct and ductless heating and air conditioning systems in the 125,000-square-foot facility.

The Unico System has been installed in more than 500,000 homes in the U.S. and numerous other countries. Unico is a training partner with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on its Zero Energy Ready Home, which is a program that recognizes homes that are so energy efficient that a renewable energy system, such as solar or geothermal, can offset all or most of its annual energy consumption.
