Amerikooler Exec Named to South Florida Business Journal’s ‘40 Under 40’
Company builds commercial refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers and freezers, refrigerated warehouses
MIAMI — Amerikooler president and CEO, Gian Carlo Alonso, was awarded a spot on South Florida Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list for 2016. The list identifies and celebrates local entrepreneurs that have made a difference in their company, and the South Florida community, before the age of 40.
“I am extremely humbled and honored to be selected as a member of this prestigious group of individuals,” said Alonso. “This would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of all my colleagues at Amerikooler. This award is just as much theirs.”
Amerikooler, which was founded by Alonso’s father in 1985, has been a family business for over 31 years. Alonso quickly made his mark on the company as senior vice president of sales, igniting Amerikooler’s growth for over nine years. Starting in 2014, Alonso took over as president and CEO and since then he has been continuing to grow the company as an industry-leading manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and refrigerated warehouses.
The Miami-based company operates out of a 200,000-square-foot facility, housing a sophisticated, fully-integrated network of robotic machinery and custom software. Amerikooler has served clients including Burger King®, Exxon Mobil, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Sandals Resorts®, and Chili's Grill & Bar.
