Robertshaw Acquires Burner Systems International
Acquisition complements Robertshaw’s gas products business
ITASCA, Ill. — Robertshaw, a manufacturer of controls for applications including air conditioning, heating, and commercial refrigeration, announced that it has acquired Burner Systems International (BSI), a provider of complete gas train systems and engineered burner solutions.
Established in 1960, BSI is a full-service supplier of components and customized engineered solutions for gas appliances. Its products include manifolds and burner systems for furnaces as well as boilers and tank storage water heaters. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“This acquisition complements our market leading gas products business and will create the most comprehensive portfolio of gas delivery products and systems for the appliance and commercial original equipment manufacturers. BSI is a great incremental fit for our growing portfolio of engineered products and solutions,” said Mark L. Balcunas, CEO and president of Robertshaw.
The acquisition includes BSI’s 863 employees along with its headquarters, engineering center, and manufacturing hub in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as well as manufacturing centers in Celaya, Mexico, and Bedford, United Kingdom.
