DENVER — Ice machine manufacturer Ice-O-Matic has been awarded the Governor’s Excellence in Exporting Award from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) and the World Trade Center Denver. Given to Colorado exporters annually since 1970, this award recognizes Colorado companies who have contributed to the state’s economic development through international trade.

Ice-O-Matic received the trade organization’s most prestigious recognition after significantly increasing sales over the past six years. International exports were key to this growth, as they have expanded to more than 25 percent of company sales.

“International growth is a strategic initiative for Ice-O-Matic and has contributed considerably to this increase,” said Keith Kelly, president of Ice-O-Matic. “In 2015 alone we exported ice machines to more than 55 countries, and we are incredibly proud of our team and their efforts that support our ability to compete in the global market from our home in Denver.”

Ice-O-Matic is a supplier of ice machines, storage bins, and dispensers to many multinational chains and supports those accounts in nearly 60 countries through a global network of distributors and service agents.
