OAKLAND, Calif. — OpTerra Energy Services, a national energy services company that partners with commercial, industrial, and institutional clients, announced the addition of two business development managers to its Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Division to help meet the growing demand for energy conservation solutions in California.

Charles Allured has more than 30 years of experience in providing energy efficiency solutions to businesses in the commercial and industrial sectors. His career began at the Energy Services division of Pacific Gas and Electric Co., the division which would in turn become a legacy company of OpTerra in 2000. Additionally, Allured has held several key roles at other energy companies, including director of major accounts at Sierra Pacific Power Co. and national projects director at Enron. He will serve as Northern California business development manager for OpTerra, based out of the company’s Sacramento office, developing partnerships across the state, focused on the Capital Region, Bay Area, and Central Valley.

With a focus on the health care and industrial markets, Peter Morris brings more than 22 years of experience to OpTerra. He has a long history in sustainable energy and conservation, most recently with Optimum Energy in Seattle. Morris has held strategic business development roles at a variety of California companies serving a variety of commercial and industrial clients, including positions at PG&E, Honeywell, and Johnson Controls. Morris will serve as business development manager for the Southern California region, based in the company’s Orange, California, office with a focus on supporting C&I demand across Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles County.

The growing OpTerra Commercial and Industrial Division in California joins a large operational presence of existing Public Sector Division activities across the state.

“Charles and Peter each bring an impressive amount of industry experience to the OpTerra Energy Services team,” said Sean Fuller, vice president, sales and marketing of OpTerra Energy Services. “They will play a pivotal role in leveraging OpTerra’s expertise developing public sector energy programs as we expand our offerings to California’s commercial and industrial marketplace.”
