The Fieldpiece SRS1 refrigerant scale with weight alarm.
Fieldpiece Instruments has introduced the SRS1 refrigerant scale with weight alarm. The scale delivers accurate measurements for residential or light commercial facilities, measuring refrigerant cylinders up to 110 lbs., and the weight alarm is designed to be easy to use.
To use the weight alarm, a technician sets the charge/recover alarm using a large numeric key pad. He then sets the tank on the platform, dials in the amount of the charge, and waits for the alarm to sound when it’s time to close the valve. The alarm also can be set to sound when approaching a set weight. This is useful when a technician knows how much he wants to add to or remove from a system, and wants to work on other things nearby.
According to Fieldpiece, the SRS1 features a remote with a bright blue backlight for use in poor lighting conditions, and a strong magnetic strip allows technicians to hang the remote at eye level while charging or recovering. The platform is constructed of solid aluminum with rubber bumpers, and a slotted rubber pad holds refrigerant bottles firmly in place.
The SRS1 comes standard with a 9V battery, which lasts an average of 80 hours. An automatic power- off feature extends the life of the battery further, and is easily disabled when in charge/recovery mode.
