American Residential Services Acquires Aspen Air and Atlas Trillo

Acquisitions expand company’s presence in Florida and California

January 19, 2016

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — American Residential Services (ARS), a national provider of HVAC and plumbing services, announced that it has acquired the assets of Aspen Air Conditioning in Boca Raton, Florida, and Atlas Trillo in San Jose, California.

The Aspen Air acquisition is in the eighth major metro market that ARS serves in Florida, further broadening its statewide presence.

“Our vision for national growth is made possible through the addition of quality service providers such as Aspen Air. We are excited to be expanding into the thriving Palm Beach area and more importantly to be partnering with the talented management team at Aspen Air,” said Don Karnes, chief executive officer of ARS.

Aspen Air’s president, Steve Maguire, will continue to oversee the 32-year-old HVAC business. “We are thrilled to be joining the ARS team who shares our goals of customer and employee satisfaction and are looking forward to the opportunities for growth. Through this partnership with ARS we will take our services to residents and businesses of southeast Florida to the next level,” said Maguire.

Dave Slott, president and chief operating officer of ARS, said, "We are excited to kick off the new year by adding Aspen Air to our ARS network. Aspen Air's company culture is family-oriented, which is why it's no surprise that they have exceptional standards for treating their customers and employees right. For this reason, it will be easy to align our values for high-caliber service."

Regarding Atlas Trillo, ARS said it has an extensive plumbing presence in the Bay Area, and with the acquisition of Atlas Trillo, the company will be adding residential and commercial HVAC services to its offerings in the region.

Atlas Trillo’s president, Andrew Trillo, will continue to oversee the 62-year-old HVAC business. “For several years, we’ve served residential and commercial customers and provided energy efficient, environmentally safe heating and air conditioning solutions. No job is too big or too small for us. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, which is at the center of the ARS philosophy. Through this partnership with ARS we will take our service to the next level,” said Trillo.

“Atlas Trillo has a remarkable reputation in the south Bay Area. Their longevity and dedication to extraordinary customer service is what sealed the deal since it perfectly aligns with our customer-centric culture,” said Dave Slott, president and chief operating officer of ARS.

ARS operates a network of more than 65 company-owned, locally-managed service locations spanning 22 states, with approximately 5,500 employees. The company serves both residential and light commercial customers, providing heating, cooling, IAQ, plumbing, drain cleaning, sewer line, radiant barrier, insulation, and ventilation services.
