Program Helps Improve Efficiencies in Restaurants and Reduces Energy Consumption
ATLANTA — Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc., franchisor of the Arby’s brand, announced that its Efficiency Matters program received a Top Project of the Year Award in the Environmental Leader Product & Project Awards. Efficiency Matters, launched by Arby’s in 2012, is considered by judges as an exemplary project to serve as a cost-saving energy management platform to help improve efficiencies in restaurants and reduce energy consumption and associated environmental and community impacts. As part of Arby’s PurposeFULL™ CSR program, the company said it remains committed to being a good steward of the environment and a green and responsible company.
“As a result of initiatives implemented through the Efficiency Matters program, we are well on our way to achieving our goal of 15 percent energy reduction by the end of 2015 in company-owned restaurants,” said Scott Boatwright, senior vice president, operations, Arby’s Restaurant Group. “We look forward to finding even more ways to reduce energy consumption at Arby’s and continuing to evolve our ResourceFULL™ platform.”
