HOUSTON — Goodman Mfg. Co. announced Thermal Supply Inc. as the recipient of the 2014 Harold V. Goodman Award. Seattle-based Thermal Supply is an independent distributor of Goodman, Amana®, and Daikin HVAC products. The award is given to the most outstanding independent distributor of the year, as evidenced by multiple factors. To qualify for this award, an independent distributor must have a minimum of 15 years of service as a Goodman distributor; boast consistent annual sales growth; best-in-class customer service; and consistent improvements in business process.

Thermal Supply has been a Goodman distributor since 1992. Starting from two locations in the early 1970s, owner Bob Monroe grew the company to 12 locations. When he retired in 1992, sons Mike and Dan Monroe took over, switched to Goodman, and have since grown the business to 24 locations in the Pacific Northwest, with locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.

“Thermal Supply increased its total HVAC sales over 40 percent last year, which is phenomenal,” said Mark Dolan, president, Goodman Sales and Distribution Inc. “So far this year, they’re just as impressive with sales performance gains exceeding 20 percent. We are excited about Thermal Supply and the substantial progress it’s making in its markets. This sales growth is a direct testament to the outstanding levels of customer support offered to all Thermal Supply customers.”

Thermal Supply has driven additional market share and sales growth recently by focusing on the Amana brand of high-efficiency systems, with substantial sales of 14-plus SEER condensing units and 95 percent efficiency furnaces. This year, the company also brought in the premier Daikin ductless product line, and has already become one of the largest Daikin ductless distributors in the Western U.S.

“We are honored to receive this award,” said Mike Monroe, co-owner, Thermal Supply. “Moving to Goodman is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I am also pleased that Goodman and Daikin have joined forces. Goodman has been the leader in the U.S. for years, and Daikin has that leadership position globally. The synergy of this company is just fantastic, and it’s a great time to be a distributor for Goodman, Amana, and now Daikin.”
