AmRad Celebrates 75th Anniversary
Company Employs 65 People in its Florida Manufacturing Plant
Founded in 1939, American Radionic/AmRad Engineering is celebrating 75 years in business.
“My father started the business in Brooklyn, New York, and relocated to Florida in 1987,” said Richard Stockman, vice president, AmRad. “We were a major supplier for more than 35 years to the big three domestic automotive companies and the move gave us the opportunity to expand production and continue to lead the way when it came to lean manufacturing,” he added.
American Radionic and its AmRad division hold nearly 30 patents and trademarks on its film capacitor designs. AmRad is owned by Robert Stockman, president, and Richard Stockman. The company employs 65 people in its Flagler County, Florida, manufacturing plant. It is a leader in metallized film capacitor technology and offers high-quality, American-made products with all capacitors designed and manufactured in Palm Coast, Florida.
