The OPTIMAX™ 400, an economical, violet-light, LED leak-detection flashlight emits visible light, allowing contractors to spot refrigerant leaks. The product features a high-output violet-light LED that causes dyes to fluoresce brilliantly, with great contrast, according to the company. The flashlight’s pre-focused beam optimizes fluorescent response without any adjustments, and it works effectively with nearly all popular universal/polyolester (POE) dyes. Extremely compact and lightweight, the unit features an inspection range of 25 feet (7.6 m) or more. A rugged, corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum lamp body stands up to years of heavy use. Powered by standard AAA batteries (included), the unit has a 100,000-hour LED service life.
