May 14, 2014: First Power and Light Changes Name to VOLT Solar, Opens Mass. Office
Company Has Goal of Becoming a Leading Wholesale Solar Panel Distributor
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — First Power and Light Inc. has formally changed its name to VOLT Solar Systems Inc. The company also announced the opening of a new office in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
The company said the new office will expand its presence in the New England area. It will support its sales, marketing, and construction efforts in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. VOLT said it intends to expand its engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) operations in the New England market and has already begun to take steps to grow its business in this area.
VOLT said it is currently engaged in an aggressive national expansion effort, with the goal of becoming a leading wholesale solar panel distributor and EPC firm. VOLT recently opened a Phoenix hub and is preparing to open operations centers in Los Angeles and Houston.
