ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — RSES and TruTech Tools Ltd. have announced a new awards program to encourage RSES members to pursue additional education and training in HVACR by earning the RSES Certificate Member (CM) and Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) designations.

A newly created TruTech Scholar Award will be presented quarterly to the RSES member who earns the highest score on the CM exam and the member who earns the highest score on the CMS exam. While there are eight CMS exams, the member with the highest score among all eight sections will be awarded.

“We are excited to partner with TruTech to further motivate our members to further their education in our industry,” said Joe Marchese, CMS, RSES International president.

Each TruTech Scholar Award winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to purchase TruTech merchandise. The first set of TruTech Scholar Awards have been presented.

The first recipients of the TruTech award from the October-December quarter are Glenn Guzman, CM, who had the highest overall CM exam score, and Samuel David Cooley, CMS, who passed the HVACR Electrical exam with the highest overall CMS exam score.

The winners of the TruTech award from the January-March quarter are Brandon C. Davis, CM, and John Singel, CM, who tied for the highest CM score, and Art Houston, CMS, who passed the HVACR Electrical exam with the highest overall score.

RSES will announce TruTech award winners each quarter while also acknowledging RSES members who achieved CM/CMS status.
