Dec. 12, 2013: ACCA Quality Maintenance Standard Is Updated
Standard Covers Maintenance of Residential HVAC Systems
ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced that it has updated its ANSI/ACCA 4 QM – 2013 Standard (Maintenance of Residential HVAC Systems). The QM standard is available as a free, downloadable PDF at www.acca.org/quality. The updated standard is also available in print form from the ACCA bookstore at www.acca.org/store.
The QM standard was updated in 2013 in order to reflect current industry-recognized basic maintenance inspection tasks, along with the corresponding recommended corrective actions. A new checklist for steam distribution systems and a new informative appendix on equipment capacity were added, guidance is now provided specifically for inverter-driven equipment, additions made to the definitions, and updates made to the bibliography.
