ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced that it has promoted Charlie McCrudden to senior vice president of government relations and Craig Gotthardt to vice president of information systems.

“Charlie and Craig have both been with ACCA for many years and are key players on our team,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO. “Promoting them is a way to thank them and recognize their hard work and dedication to contractors.”

McCrudden has been with ACCA since 2006. He works to promote and protect the interests of HVAC contractors and the industry on Capitol Hill and before the regulatory agencies such as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Over the past two years, he has worked to protect the interests of contractors as the DOE rolls out new regional standards on residential HVAC equipment and played an important part in ACCA’s legal challenge of those standards.

Gotthardt has been with ACCA since 1996. He is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting ACCA’s internal and external computer systems, phone systems, Internet, system security, and databases. This year he has been an integral part in the development and migration of the organization to a new database that will launch this winter.
