KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — HGTV has announced that Nashville, Tenn., will be the site of the HGTV Smart Home 2014. Construction is underway on the Tudor-style residence in Duncanwood Reserve in the Green Hills area.

Consisting of three bedrooms and 3½ baths, the HGTV Smart Home 2014 will feature many of the latest technology trends to connect the home’s appliances and devices, and give the homeowner better control over indoor climate, lighting, security, and energy use.

HGTV viewers can enter for a chance to win the home when the HGTV Smart Home 2014 Giveaway opens for entries in April 2014, and can watch the home come to life at HGTV.com/smarthome.

“This is our second HGTV Smart Home, and it will be one of the most charming, beautiful homes we’ve ever built,” said Jack Thomasson, HGTV professional house planner. “HGTV viewers will be pleasantly surprised at some of the design elements. This will be a space that really ‘pops.’”

The HGTV Smart Home 2014 was designed by P. SHEA | DESIGN and is being constructed by Carbine & Associates.
