Able to be installed in any HVAC system, the ClenAir HVAC Carbon Block is an add-on high-capacity carbon filter. Designed to be a one-size-fits-all carbon filter, its dimensions are 10-by-10-by-1 1/2-inch thick. It is installed behind the primary air filter and will only take up a portion of the existing filter area. It can be added on to any existing filter to remove chemicals, gases, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and odors from the indoor air. The filter is made of a carbon extruded media on both sides of the filter face. According to the manufacturer, the filter media interior is filled with a mix of high-quality activated carbon and mineral pellets known as Carbon Z; this combination is designed to absorb a variety of indoor air pollutants found in a home or building.
