ARLINGTON, Va. — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) has announced several improvements in the search method to find variable refrigerant flow (VRF) multi-split air conditioning and heat pump equipment product listings in the AHRI Directory of Certified Product Performance. The association said the new functionality allows for searches based on manufacturer, model number, product type, or certified ratings.

“Spurred by a desire to save energy, regulators at the federal, state, and local levels are increasingly motivated to depend upon AHRI for the accurate and unbiased evaluation of HVACR and water heating equipment,” said Stephen Yurek, AHRI president and CEO. “As part of our ongoing effort to improve the usability of our directory, we are pleased to offer this improved functionality for VRF equipment on our directory, which is the only listing of VRF certified products in the world.”

The directory allows users to generate product certificates, and to validate and export data. To be included in the directory, products are subject to rigorous testing by an independent, third-party laboratory under contract to AHRI.
