CHICAGO — SDI (System Development.Integration LLC), a leading systems integrator of mission-critical technologies and infrastructure, has announced the acquisition of i-sys Corp, a national systems integrator that delivers integrated security, environmental, and fire safety solutions. SDI said the acquisition will extend its service network coverage throughout the United States, while adding further technical expertise.

Founded in 2000 by the late Bill Ohlendorf, i-sys provides integrated security management systems, end-to-end building automation (HVAC, lighting, and energy management), mechanical services, and advanced fire safety systems. i-sys’ portfolio of clients includes major financial institutions, airports, seaports, state/local government, and universities. With offices in Sacramento, Calif.; Charleston, S.C.; and Knoxville, Tenn., the firm’s service network addresses clients with nationwide assets, including a national bank with over 1,500 branches across 10 states.
