June 21, 2013: hilmor Announces HVACR Scholarship Program
Three Students to Receive $10,000 Scholarships
Three students will be awarded $10,000 scholarships and a hilmor merchandising Green Wall will be donated to their schools. The students will also receive the opportunity to travel to the 2014 AHR Expo in New York City.
In addition, each winner will receive a new hilmor Starter Kit, which includes a dual readout thermometer, 2-valve aluminum manifold, quick-engage flare & swage, and quick-change magnetic nut driver.
“Despite the fact that jobs in the HVACR industry are expected to grow, the industry is challenged to find skilled workers to fill these jobs,” said Andrea Halpin, senior marketing manager. “hilmor created this scholarship contest as a way to encourage people to pursue a career in the HVACR industry.”
The online essay contest is open from Aug. 1-Oct. 31 to those who are currently enrolled in, or have applied for admission to, an HVACR school in the United States. Official rules are available at www.retoolyourfuture.com. Winners will be notified in December.
