Field-applied, VindEX Ultra is polymer that cures dirty-sock syndrome, claimed the company. It kills and encapsulates bacteria, viruses, and mold spores. The patented formula is a derivative of a medical-grade polymer already in use as a medical device to seal and protect wounds in battlefield conditions. It is professionally applied to equipment with the use of a compressed-air sprayer or fogger device. Acetone is the vehicle that delivers VindEX Ultra to coil surfaces to clean and sanitize; it dries rapidly, allowing the equipment to be put back in operation within minutes of application. Once cured, the finished product permanently coats the evaporator coil surfaces and prevents the regrowth of contaminants, eliminating the source of dirty-sock odor in residential and commercial structures.
