GREENSBORO, N.C. — James M. Pleasants Co. (JMP), one of Xylem Bell & Gossett’s largest manufacturer’s representatives, has launched anew technical blogfor mechanical contractors and engineers.

Visitors to the blog will find information on a variety of commercial HVAC and plumbing topics, including information about the latest ASHRAE standards, geothermal applications, variable speed pumping design, and more. All of the blogs are technical and written by JMP sales engineers.

“This blog is a natural extension of what we’ve been doing for over 50 years, which is educating our customers. We will still be conducting in-person seminars throughout our territories in the Southeast, but we’ve added this new layer of outreach,” said Chad Edmondson, marketing manager for JMP.

JMP, which also represents such brands as Hoffman Specialty, Domestic Pump, McDonnell & Miller, Lochinvar and others, has provided free technical seminars to engineers, contractors, and end-users for a number of years.

“Education is a part of who we are. It’s what our customers have come to expect from us,” said Edmondson. “And just like we focus our seminars on serious engineering and application topics, we plan to keep this blog equally technical — just in smaller, bite-sized portions.”

The blog can be accessed at the updated JMP website at www.jmpco.com.
