Michael Leonard receives The NEWS' 2012 Best Instructor award
Michael Leonard, an instructor at the Interactive College of Technology, Chamblee, Ga., recently received The NEWS’ 2012 Best Instructor award at the HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals in Colorado Springs, Colo.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Two outstanding educators were honored for their accomplishments March 13 in front of a ballroom full of fellow educators during the HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Michael Leonard, who teaches at the Interactive College of Technology, Chamblee, Ga., received The NEWS’ 2012 Best Instructor award. Don Crawshaw of Pikes Peak Community College, Colorado Springs, Colo., was recognized as the runner-up. This is the 13th year that The NEWS and Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) have sponsored the contest.

Chris Mohalley receives The NEWS' 2012 Best Trainer award
Chris Mohalley of Genteq, Fort Wayne, Ind., recently received The NEWS’ inaugural 2012 Best Trainer award at the HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals in Colorado Springs, Colo.

In 2012, The NEWS introduced a category for HVACR trainers who deserve recognition for their dedication to HVACR education. Chris Mohalley of Genteq, Fort Wayne, Ind., received the inaugural 2012 Best Trainer award at the conference. Harold Nelson, of Mingledorff’s, Norcross, Ga., was honored as the runner-up.

The NEWS is now accepting nominations for the 14th annual Best Instructor and the second annual Best Trainer contests. Nominations may be made online at http://bestinstructor.achrnews.com.
