ST. LOUIS — White-Rodgers, a business of Emerson, has promoted three executives that the company said will strengthen the organization’s product development and delivery, while facilitating new market penetration and new customer alliances.

William (Bill) Butler was promoted to vice president engineering, John Ward to vice president product planning, and Geoff Godwin to vice president marketing. Butler replaces Tom Fredricks, who was promoted to vice president, engineering at Regulator Technologies, a business unit of Emerson Process Management.

“As part of Emerson Climate Technologies, White-Rodgers is driving toward the expansion of controls and solutions that will influence HVACR equipment, servicing contractors, and consumers. The growing market for controls is driven by efforts to curtail energy consumption, improve equipment reliability and serviceability, and increase user comfort,” said Craig Johnson, president of White-Rodgers. “Innovative application of electronics to traditional mechanical systems coupled with advances in wireless technologies will lead to new solutions in residential HVAC controls that will change how these products are applied today.”

Johnson said, “The future is exciting with this team in place. With Bill focused on engineering and development functions, John leading our product, project, and portfolio management, and Geoff driving product innovation and market research, our customers and the ultimate users of our products will be the winners.”
