DALLAS — EnTouch Controls Inc, a provider of energy management systems for small businesses and light commercial facilities, announced that it has added HVAC veteran Scott J. Boxer to its board of directors.

Boxer has successfully run the largest divisions of HVAC industry leaders Lennox and York. He has served in the roles of president and chief operating officer of the Service Experts division of Lennox International, president of Lennox Industries, president of Lennox Europe, and president of the Unitary Products Group at York International. Boxer was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) in 2011 and currently serves on several corporate boards including Ecothermics Inc., TURNS Financing Services, and The Weitz Co.

“From our first introduction, I have admired the approach and vision of the EnTouch leadership team,” Boxer said. “The light commercial controls market has been underserved due to the cost and complexity of traditional energy management systems. The EnTouch team has developed a sophisticated but elegant platform that excels in ease of use, speed of installation, and remote diagnostic features. Coupled with its cloud services platform, the EnTouch EMS results in low cost, real savings and significant return on investment of well under 12 months, something that has traditionally been unachievable. This is demonstrated by their growing list of impressive customer wins with national accounts, franchisees, and schools. I’m looking forward to working with this energizing team.”

“Trailblazer prides itself on building strong companies that combine the best and brightest entrepreneurs with the experience and insight of leaders like Scott,” said David Matthews, managing partner for Trailblazer Capital, a venture capital firm that has led the first two financing rounds for the company. “Together we build investment value while creating opportunities, increasing employment, and enhancing the communities we serve.”

“I’m equally thrilled to add Scott to the EnTouch team,” said Greg Fasullo, CEO of EnTouch Controls. “We are making great strides and building the best-in-class energy management solution for small commercial facilities, and Scott complements our experienced team. He brings extensive experience along with a deep understanding of our market and the needs of our customers, channel partners, and OEM partners. I’m looking forward to working closely together as we build a dynamic and game-changing company.”
