OAKLAND, Calif. — Nick Kyriakopedi, HVAC and electrical department chair, Laney College, recently welcomed educator Steve Coscia (standing) to serve as a guest educator. Coscia led the class of more than 60 students through a lesson on soft skills.
“Their inquisitive and eager demeanor made the time fly,” said Coscia, owner of Coscia Communications Inc. “They courageously let it all hang out and this resulted in a mutually beneficial learning experience. When I see courage in the classroom, it reassures me that there is hope for the future.”
