OAKLAND, Calif. — Nick Kyriakopedi, HVAC and electrical department chair, Laney College, recently welcomed educator Steve Coscia (standing) to serve as a guest educator. Coscia led the class of more than 60 students through a lesson on soft skills.“Their inquisitive and eager demeanor made the time fly,” said Coscia, owner of Coscia Communications Inc. “They courageously let it all hang out and this resulted in a mutually beneficial learning experience. When I see courage in the classroom, it reassures me that there is hope for the future.”
