Resource Conservation Technologies Inc.: Multipurpose Water Sensor
June 18, 2012
Multipurpose water sensor AquaGuard AG-1250E is a high-amperage, solid state sensor, which contains no moving parts that could become clogged. The water sensor can be mounted directly on HVACR units, in a metal or plastic secondary drain pan, on floors, or even on a wall. It replaces most mechanical and hockey puck-styled water sensors currently available on the market today, claims the company. The sensor measures less than 1.4 by 2 inches (36 mm by 50 mm) for condensate management in any tight space. Features include a 5-A, 24-vac solid state sensor with water detection LED light; the switch can be normally open or normally closed; and normally open fourth wire for optional external alarm, digital controller, or energy management systems. According to the company, the water sensor has an innovative mounting base for easy cleaning and drying of the sensor. Included is 6 feet of control wire.
